Position: Accounts Assistant

3 months initially, with a view to making the role permanent.
A leading Publishing Company is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their IT Finance team.
The main responsibilities will regard the monthly management of accounts. This is to include ensuring that expenditure is correctly accrued, producing variance analyses, production of reports and dealing with managers queries on an ad hoc basis.
Candidates should have strong experience with Excel and experience of Access would also be looked upon favourably. Knowledge of WiP (Work in Progress) is required and the best candidates will also be comfortable with Fixed Asset input and queries.
Candidates with experience in IT and newspapers will stand out. However those with the right skills and a good 2-3 years accounting experience will be considered from any background. This is a great opportunity and offers a role with real prospects for progression. It requires a friendly, personable, bright, energetic individual who will fit into this small team with ease.
